4 Proven Ways to Cleanse


As the summer is coming to an end it is a great time to cleanse and detox your body. Taking the time out of your busy schedule to plan out a cleanse can be stressful that is why I have mapped out 4 proven ways to get your cleanse on! These are simple and easy to incorporate into your everyday life! So let’s go:

1.Water, Water & More Water—Get rid of the juices and sodas and increase your water intake. Carry around a full water bottle with you and sip on it throughout your day. Keep ONLY water in your fridge so you won’t be tempted by sugary drinks. Water will keep you hydrated, will flush out toxins and help you have clear, glowing skin!

2. Fruits & Veggies-- You know that increasing your intake of fruits and veggies is super important, especially when they are RAW! Cooking decreases the nutrients in fruits and veggies so by adding raw meals to your diet they will supply your body with minerals and vitamins that you may have lost otherwise in the cooking process. The fiber from these nutrient powerhouses will help clean out your digestive system and have you feeling lighter in no time!

3. Probiotics--Adding probiotics to your daily regimen is another amazing way to cleanse. Probiotics are the "good bacteria" that your body needs to remain balanced and healthy. You can consume them in pill form, which is what I do, in kombucha or in fermented foods. These good bacteria help to boost your immune system and keep your digestive system functioning at its optimum level.

4. Meditation--Meditation is a great way to clear your mind, to help you focus on the now and relieve you from stress and anxiety. Cleansing not only involves the food that you eat; it goes way beyond that. Cleansing and detoxing the mind is very important especially in this day and age when we are constantly on the go and consumed with technology. Taking the time, even if it’s just 10 minutes a day, to stop and sit in meditation will have a significant impact on your mental health.

Cleansing is important whether you do it once a year, seasonally or once a month. You need to rid yourself of the toxins that have built up physically, mentally and spiritually. I encourage you to introduce these 4 cleansing tips to your daily regimen to help you along your wellness journey.
