Lessons in the Chaos
It can be hard to find the silver lining in a completely cloudy sky. 2020 has been a year unlike others in our lifetime. It has been an emotional roller-coaster not knowing what you're going to wake up to next. With that being said it can be easy to fall into a downward spiral of anxiety, stress and let's be real, laziness. Our lives have changed significantly in a short amount of time and learning to adapt + adjust can feel just plain uncomfortable. Whether its working from home, losing your job, kids staying home, boredom etc. Finding ways to go with the flow + create a new "normal" is something we all need to figure out!!!
On the bright side of things there are those people who are pushing those 2020 clouds to the side + making their own sun; starting businesses, having more time for self-love + self-care and spending more time in nature. Although it may be easy to sleep all day, binge watch a Netflix series or polish off a bottle of wine faster than before. And I'm not saying these are "bad" or that you shouldn't do them ever but make sure you take time to see the good in a strange time!
What lessons can you take away from 2020 so far?
What am I being shown by the Universe?
Can I go with the flow + create a new "normal" for myself?
Here are easy ways for you to find lessons in the chaos:
4 Easy Ways to Find Lessons in Chaos
1. What is 1 small thing you can be grateful for right at this moment? Stop + think! Is it your new plant? A ring someone gave you? Your constant desire to gain knowledge? Think about it + write it down!
2. Think of the last time you overcame an obstacle in your life. How did you find the strength? Tap into that same strength RIGHT NOW!!!
3. Find someone to talk to or vent to, a friend, family member, a health coach, a therapist. Even if you're not looking for advice, seek out someone who is a good listener as well as someone you trust.
4. Write down a small list of things you'd like to let go of + burn it. Make it small so the fire doesn't get out of control. Think of a fortune in a fortune cookie (yes that small, better safe than sorry!!) For example say you want to let go of procrastination in your life + you also want to let go of holding a grudge against Lisa. Write down "I let go of procrastination." + "I no longer hold a grudge against Lisa." Keep it simple + specific!! Burn it + imagine the problem disappearing with the smoke.
I hope these tips help you!
